David Twohy is best known as the director of the Vin Diesel flick Pitch Black and its sequel, The Chronicles of Riddick, but he's also been been writing screenplays for years prior to that (some of his credits include The Fugitive, Waterworld and G.I. Jane). Clearly he knows more than just action and sci-fi (although he probably could have been on last week's poll), and his new movie A Perfect Getaway is simply more evidence of that fact.
The movie is a thriller about two couples who meet up during a tropical vacation in Hawaii, where they soon find that tourists are being stalked and killed. Milla Jovovich, Steve Zahn, Timothy Olyphant and Chris Hemsworth (yes, Thor himself) star, and although there have been a handful of horror movies in this kind of setting lately (Turistas, The Ruins), it seems like the trailer may be hiding a twist or two. Either way, the last 30 seconds seem intent on proving that there will at least be a fair amount of action. I can't say I'm super excited about this, but it might turn out to be a pleasant surprise.
